… and if the act of exodus were a form of pacifist resistance against terror in the world ..

In what ways and for what reasons did people decide to go into exile? What experiences do they bring with them? What significance does the need to re-localise have for the individual and society? How do we want to live together as a society?

EGODOCUMENT – Fantastic Tales interweaves real and fantastic memory structures to create a sensitive, poetic and documentary dance performance. In front of an expansive video installation and in an immersive soundscape, the performers test continuous looking ahead, moving forward and self-assertion. The production thematises and questions current and historical paths, steps and stages of flight and the new dimension of life in exile as the basis of family-historical narratives and myths.

Christel Brink Przygodda’s work is guided by a conscious (care) attitude towards society and the question of how a respectful coexistence at eye level can be made possible.

The event is part of the LANDSCAPES 4.0 programme. LANDSCAPES 4.0 is a festival organised by FENSTER ZUM OSTEN-shibak sharqi gGmbH in collaboration with COLLECTIF K-LI-P and MAHER DANCE COMPANY and with the kind support of Uferstudios GmbH.

Christel Brink-Pryzgodda, trained in classical and contemporary dance (Cunningham) in Germany and France. First own works such as “Parkhaus” and “Take a decision n° 1” as well as events in the urban space were created in 1985/86 in West Berlin. 1987 Collaboration with Miriam Berns and Christiane Blaise in Grenoble, among others. Since 1990 work as a dancer, teacher, dramaturge and choreographer with François Veyrunes (Compagnie 47-49); joint works include “OUTRENOIR” (2018), “RESONANCE” (2021) and “PARADOX(AL)” (2023).

Together with visual artist Philippe Veyrunes, she founded the COLLECTIF K-LI-P ensemble in 2005 and developed choreographic performances with light, sound and video installations that explore the concept of identity. Since 2016, continuous further development of her project series “EGODOCUMENT” on the subject of exile.
