Important change for all rehearsing artists: From January 2026, we will be saying goodbye to the grand piano in room 207 (Mitte location). Rehearsals with a grand piano are still possible at the Schöneweide location – a beautiful room with a view of the Spree awaits you there.
THEATERHAUS BERLIN about us
For more than 30 years, theaterhaus berlin has been a production center and networking platform for independent performing arts in Berlin. At two locations – in the central district of Mitte and near the water in the idyllic surroundings of Schöneweide – theaterhaus berlin offers the largest amount of rehearsal spaces in Berlin as well as an inspiring environment for creative production and artistic creation.
STUDIO RENTAL our studios
A total of 58 rooms are available at two locations, which can be hired flexibly on an hourly or daily basis for rehearsals, auditions, readings and presentations.
Our Locations
Mitte
At the Mitte location, we offer a total of 24 rehearsal rooms and an open-air stage, ranging in size from 54 m² to 108 m² (135 m² studio stage M 003). The rehearsal rooms are equipped in a variety of ways and offer various features, including blackout facilities, mirrors, pianos and dance floors.

Schöneweide
Schöneweide | B-Part
Since April 2025, 16 freshly renovated rooms with a wide range of equipment are available at the Schöneweide site: all-round darkening, sports floors, modern technical infrastructure and flexible room sizes from 15 to 94 m² create ideal conditions for a wide range of uses. We will keep you up to date on the progress of the refurbishment work and look forward to opening the entire location in spring 2026.
