In French with German and English surtitles Encounter is a simple act at first glance, but one of intimate and moving complexity. It requires subtle attention, a subtle letting go and openness to the unforeseen. It is that suspended moment in which you no longer know exactly who you are or what awaits you, but something new is being prepared
but something new is in the pipeline. This project scrutinises this fragile yet powerful mechanism of encounter. How can encounter, when it is accepted in all its density – with its vulnerability, its tensions, its silences and mistakes – become a force for transformation, revelation and opening up to the world?
In contrast to a world that is oversaturated with information, speed and superficiality, we want to give time to the encounter. To explore its own rhythm. Its sometimes slow intensity. Its mystery. Its power to move us, to break open our social shell and to question our place.
This piece is an invitation to take a fresh look at the connections that run through us. It aims to make tangible the intuition that meeting the other – an other that can be many and varied: a person, a culture, a language, a memory, a place, a work – also means meeting a whole world and perhaps meeting oneself anew.
Composed like a mosaic of moments, a journey through fragments, an attempt at connection
Connection, this piece is at once a public space, an intimate space and a space of possibilities.
The event is created in two parts: an interactive installation that takes the audience
