The theatre piece MADAGASKAR traces the abysses of historical-political fantasies with a view to the Central European history of the 20th century and takes the topic of foreignness as a starting point to explore the possibilities of participation. The central question is: How far will we go to be accepted?
“They should have sent us all to Madagascar. To Madagascar! To the lemurs! In Madagascar, nobody would have realised that the German we speak is not German. We would simply be Europeans there.”
