Ibrahima Ndiaye | Kuyum Arts MMANGU – YOUTH DAY KUYUM DANCE PLATFORM 25 | SPIELRAUM

SPIELRAUM – The Days of the Independent Performing Arts Community in Berlin

On 14 September, we cordially invite you to a special programme day at Theaterhaus Berlin | Mitte – the youth day of this year’s KUYUM dance platform. Experience the creative work of Kuyum Arts with the clown show & workshop Back to the Roots and the dance performance Mmangui and celebrate a day full of music, dance and community with us.

The festival itself then continues from 17 to 21 September at Uferstudios: the fifth edition of the KUYUM Dance Platform offers a unique stage for neo-African choreographies, contemporary dance and intercultural exchange.

Mmangui -Ibrahima NDIAYE (from 8 years) 16:30 – 16:50
Workshop from 17:00 – 18:00

“Mmangui” was developed to create a space for artistic exchange and discovery. The performance is rooted in the Sabar dance tradition and is accompanied by a workshop. A dance piece that explores the transition from ignorance to consciousness – a poetic journey through confrontation, introspection and awakening. The dancer embodies existential questions: Who are we beyond cultural, social and physical boundaries? How can pain be transformed into creativity?

The organic language of movement oscillates between flowing poetry and expressive tension, between personal biography and universal resonance. Mmangui offers a space for shared experience, for resilience and the empowering power of artistic self-expression.

Concept, lighting, costume: IBOULINA
Choreography, performance: Ibrahima Ndiaye
Music: Franz Harfenmeister and IBOULINA
