Musethica MUSETHICA – with the Odesa National Academy of Music in the Ukraine

On 11 May 2025, the first Musethica session will start in cooperation with the Odesa National
Academy of Music in Ukraine. Three Ukrainian musicianswill join forces with music students from Berlin and Copenhagen to organise a week of concerts in Berlin. They are all taking part in the Musethica training programme. The aim:to offeryoung female musiciansthe opportunity to play a large number of concerts within a few days – and to reach people who are unable to attend a concert due to their respective life situations the opportunity to attend a concert.
From 11 to 17 May, a total of four young students will be playing in various social institutions
from 11 to 17 May: from the women’s prison in Neukölln to the DRK clinic for paediatric and
Youth psychiatric clinic and the Bethanien primary school project for schoolgirls whose school developmentis at risk.

The young musicians will be accompaniedby two tutors: violist Olena Bazan,
Violist Olena Bazan, lecturer in chamber ensemble at the Odessa Academy of Music, and Avri Levitan,
Musethica founder and also a violist. The tutorsnot only give intensive coaching sessions, but alsorehearse workswith the young musicians, which they perform together on stage
Stage together.
In addition to nine concerts in social institutions, the programme includes two public concerts
Programme. The concerts are free of charge and are aimed at all interested parties.

There will be music by Franz Schubert, Ernst von Dohnányi and Johannes Brahms, as well as works by Ukrainian composers as well as works by Ukrainian composers. The concert week is being organised as part of the EU-funded project 1000 Concerts: Innovating Higher Music Education Through Social Inclusion.
