Irina Kowallik NOLI ME TANGERE

The dance performance tells of love and hurt in human life. In this piece, paths between self-awareness, discovery of the world, security, freedom, hurt and disappointment are explored, leading to a resigned withdrawal that can result in self-assertion. Movement, breath and gaze become a body language that simultaneously represents the universal power of love as both healing and destructive. The performance is inspired by Butoh.
