States of Collapse brings together two contemporary dance works by the Berlin-based collective Boneless Light, examining collapse as a bodily and political condition through contrasting choreographic perspectives.

Too Busy to Burn by Laura DeAngelis addresses collapse as exhaustion: a self-consuming loop driven by productivity, repetition, and external validation. Banquete Caribe by Naia Urresti approaches collapse as overflow—chaos understood not as failure, but as a generative force shaped by collective rhythm, instability, and embodied cultural memory.

While each work functions autonomously, together they form a clear dramaturgical arc: from depletion to excess, from futile labor to collective reconfiguration. Performed by the same ensemble, the double bill highlights two distinct choreographic voices within a shared collective practice.
