(Revival)
This piece is inspired by the ancient theory of the four humours and embarks on a dynamic journey of discovery, merging movement, voice and sound.
Rooted in Greek and Roman medical tradition, these symbolise the balance of bodily fluids and the temperaments they embody. In exploring the interplay of these elements within the thematic framework – where voice and sound can be seen as extensions of movement – “Swap” attempts to unravel the layers of human expression. The fusion of voice and movement explores complex relationships of identity.
Maria Colusi and Edgardo Rudnitzky have been working together for over 20 years, developing performance and installation projects that explore the interplay between the narratives of sound and the moving body. In a continuous, dynamic exchange, they dissolve and transform the tools of their disciplines to create a distinctive and unique expression.
