The Flag is a solo dance that traces the search for balance, spatial orientation and stability in the flux of instability – a meditation on maintaining presence, integrity and values as the world changes. Body and fabric enter into a dialogue that creates complex visual metaphors and forms a dramaturgy of presence, resistance and transformation. The performance draws the audience into a physically perceptible encounter with space, form and movement, in which body and fabric repeatedly connect and disconnect, constantly redefining what it means to move, to exist and to exist.
The fabric reacts to the dancer – it folds, collapses, resists, expands – and creates a constantly changing landscape that the body must explore. Textile becomes terrain and partner, a place of challenge and possibility, where meaning is created through rhythm, relation and action. In this unfolding dialogue between body, material and space, movement becomes language and every gesture inscribes itself into the living fabric of the performance.
