4RUDE 20th Anniversary Series – Programmes III

The world of the Yōkai – supernatural beings from Japanese folklore – intersects with the human world.

This piece was created in Japan in 2012. Our master Yukio Waguri worked with us on the choreography, and 4RUDE later refined the details for the butoh performance on stage.

The premiere took place in Berlin in 2014. The piece was then performed four times in Berlin and Paris.

This revival marks its return after nine years.
