In their new performance, Showcase Beat Le Mot explore the theme of a divided society and invite the audience to direct the performers themselves.
What if there were more than just one visible world?
What if there were a world in which rich people only sailed on their own yachts and jetted about in their private planes, and we never laid eyes on them? And we would never see poor people either, because they live deep underground and move so slowly that we mistake them for trees? What if there were no ‘we’, but this were merely the invention of people who want to point the finger at others?
What if we could send our own avatars through a pedestrian zone and they were attacked by monsters that could only be stopped by a dance troupe? What if, alongside our visible city, there were a second one where different rules and laws apply, and only the intervention and actions of the audience open a portal between the two cities? And what if this isn’t just a game?
