Electronic & Experimental Music Umspannwerk

The artist collective ELEKTRO KAGURA organises the two-day music festival “EMU Festival” at the Umspannwerk Reinickendorf. Music from the fields of electronic and experimental music is combined with dance and live animation to create an interdisciplinary work of art.
The EMU Festival blurs the boundaries between improvisation and composition – a space in which sounds change and new forms emerge.

With live music by Tetsuya Hori & 1605munro, Gałgał, Cornelius Onitsch, Midori Hirano, Kazuhisa Uchihashi and AXL OTL, the festival offers a selection of electronic, improvised and narrative sounds, ranging from subtle, experimental harmonies to powerful, abstract soundscapes. Ichi Go will impress with mesmerising movements and explosive dance, while Yukihiro Ikutani will project the space with his invigorating live animation.
