Dr. Martin Müller-Butz INTERIM FORCED LABOUR

Schloss Trebnitz e.V. invites you to join a group train journey from Müncheberg to Trebnitz, followed by a commemorative walk focusing on Nazi forced labour and the end of the war in 1945. At several stops – including Trebnitz railway station, Krähenheide and central locations in the village such as the village green and the church – installations and readings from the memoirs of eyewitnesses and those affected will commemorate the crimes of Nazi forced labour.
The project “Zwischenhalt Zwangsarbeit – Gedenkort Bahnhof Trebnitz” (Interim Forced Labour – Trebnitz Station Memorial Site) brings the history of Nazi forced labour in rural Brandenburg to light and focuses on Trebnitz station as a key historical site. Through educational, community and remembrance initiatives, a permanent memorial site is being created in the public space.
