The dance performance explores themes of love and heartbreak in human life. The piece examines the paths between self-awareness, discovery of the world, security, freedom, heartbreak and disappointment, culminating in a resigned withdrawal that can lead to self-assertion. Movement, breath and gaze become a form of body language that simultaneously portrays the universal power of love as both healing and destructive. The performance is inspired by Butoh.
