“Racial defilement”. Helene Weiland is in love with a Jewish man. A neighbour has reported her to the Gestapo. Now she is being held indefinitely at the “Uckermark Youth Protection Camp”, a concentration camp specifically for girls and young women.
Her daily life consists of a ban on speaking, forced labour and harsh punishments. She has no contact with her family. Yet Helene retains a spark of humanity and begins to write letters to her best friend, Elli. Will these letters ever reach Elli?
