Die andere Seite der Medaille (The Other Side of the Coin) is a biographical documentary theatre performance about sexual violence in sport. The starting point for the collective development of the play, based on an idea by Nadine Kösters, are interviews with victims, whose voices form the basis of the production. The focus is not on reproducing individual cases, but on questioning the structures, power relations and social reactions that enable, encourage or subsequently conceal assaults. The production combines original recordings with physical performance elements, movement, choreographed sequences and its own music and sound concept.
After each performance, there will be audience discussions with members of the artistic development team and experts from the fields of sport, child protection and prevention work.
The premiere will take place on 5 March 2026 as the opening piece of the F*Festival (F for *uck the Patriarchy) at the Ballhaus Prinzenallee. Further performances: 12, 13 and 14 March 2026 at the ACUD Theatre.
