Urban Theater e.V. THE RED FOLDER

With *THE RED FOLDER* , the Urban Theater presents a fairy-tale-like stage road movie in Ukrainian, Russian and German, exploring themes of flight, hope and solidarity. The production tells the true story of an international family: a mother, a father and their young daughter are forced to leave their homeland because of the war. Their journey takes them through ten European countries. The eponymous ‘red folder’ represents the documents that people on the run must collect. However, the story is not told as a war drama, but as a fairy tale that the parents invent for their two-year-old daughter: a fairy tale about encounters, helpfulness and those people who, despite everything, hold our world together.
