David Silber VULKANLIEBHABER

The story centres on Sir William Hamilton – a passionate volcanologist and collector – his charismatic wife Emma, and her famous lover Nelson.
Amidst love, power, passion and social constraints, a multi-layered drama unfolds, accompanied by a mysterious, ‘diabolical’ narrator who makes the characters relive their story time and again.
The musical accompaniment is provided by composer and musician Paul Brody with his KulturLeben project Bühne frei.

Concept | Text | Direction: David Silber
Performed by the theatre group of the KulturLeben Berlin association
Based on the novel by Susan Sontag
