Anyone who thinks they know the answer on their own has failed to grasp the crisis. And perhaps still believes the world is a stage for egocentric self-assertion. Nothing disrupts our togetherness quite like the capitalist imperative to present oneself as something special. The performers this evening are pushing back against this. They seek a space where one can feel at ease through caring for relationships. But how is that possible when the structures through which we inflict violence upon one another also lie within us? It is a celebration of failure and not knowing what to do next. Witty and bursting with energy. In a roundelay of linguistic destruction and reconstruction, musical trance and light, the piece opens up an atmospheric space between abstraction and intimacy. When does talking about feelings become a political act? When does ordering a cappuccino become a verbal obstacle course with a risk of stumbling?
