Theater MoDak  BRUDER TIGER

The tiger was a simple animal. That’s why he was happy. One day he met a woodcutter who told him a nonsensical lie just to get rid of him. But through this lie, the tiger learnt what loneliness is and it awakened in him a new longing to live together. The tiger’s world could no longer remain as simple as before..
Inspired by an old Korean fairy tale by Bang Jung-hwan, Theatre MoDak tells a new “Brother Tiger” with a table puppet, objects, live music and Foley sounds. It asks the audience questions about the modern meaning of family, marginalisation and inclusion in today’s society. “Brother Tiger” takes the form of a children’s fairy tale, but is also suitable for an adult audience. It tells children a colourful fairy tale through everyday objects and puppets, while opening up a space for adults to reflect on how to accept others in their lives.
