Barbelo is a visceral, high-concept collaboration between the Butoh master Marco Nektan and the avant-garde percussionist Stephen Flinn. Named after the Gnostic figure representing the first emanation of the Divine, the performance functions as a ritualistic exploration of creation, the feminine principle, and the „divine shadow“ that resides within the human subconscious. At its core, the work is a profound dialogue between silence and noise.
